See if it is there by looking in the directory in windows.
It may be marked as a hidden file.
If you can see it in windows, press alt + enter on it and look at its
properties.

i followed all of the instructions in the manual to the best of my
ability. except, i did not know how to change the directory to the
folder i created for the files that i downloaded (ipodpatcher.exe and
ipod_fw.exe) so i put them in the folder "C:\Documents and
Settings\Owner" and it worked fine until the last step where i had to
Install the Rockbox-enabled firmware:
CODE
     ipodpatcher -w 1 rockboot.bin

the cmd window said:

       rockboot.bin: No such file or directory

then i put the un-zipped files in my ipod and reseted it but it booted
up under apple still.

could you please help me?
