Date: Wed, 1 Nov 2006 16:35:35 -0000 Bitrates from 64 up to 320 is it? Are mp3 bitrates. the 900 is wv, wavepak, and the last is uncompressed pcm, my personally preferred method of recording anything. I hope that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich De Steno" <ironrock_at_verizon.net> To: <christof_at_infinitus.co.uk>; "Rockbox" <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> Sent: Wednesday, November 01, 2006 4:13 PM Subject: Re: Sound Quality Settings | When I go into recording settings in the menus, I hear choices for Quality | and Frequency. The Frequency is set at 44 and cannot be changed, but the | Quality has many bit rate choices such as 128, 192 etc. Are you saying this | setting is irrelevant? I don't hear anything about choosing to record in | MP3, is this an option somewhere in the menus? I also don't hear any option | for setting the time and date like I used to do on my old Archos with | Rockbox. Sorry, but the quality and frequency recording settings choices | have really confused me. | | ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Christopher Woods" <christof_at_infinitus.co.uk> | To: "'Rockbox'" <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> | Sent: Wednesday, November 01, 2006 10:39 AM | Subject: RE: Sound Quality Settings | | | >I don't have that build installed, but to me it sounds like the bitrate | > option is just shown all the time, even though its setting only actually | > applies if you have MP3 chosen as your destination file format. | > | >> -----Original Message----- | >> From: Thom Johansen [mailto:thomj_at_pvv.ntnu.no] | >> Sent: 01 November 2006 14:01 | >> To: Rockbox | >> Subject: Re: Sound Quality Settings | >> | >> Rich De Steno wrote: | >> > I use Rockbox with the voice option.
