The reason for SAPI4 speech engines not displaying in the Windows Control Panel (assuming your operating system is Windows XP) is that your speech engine is SAPI4 and not SAPI5. On a side note, could you eelaborate on why you can't use the SAPI5 version of Acapela Infovox Gerhard? I also have some issues on that topic and I am looking for help. At my computer I have installed acapella infovox Gerhard to talk to me. This is as far as I know a SAPI4 voice. I can not update yet to the SAPI5 version, because one of my tools is not yet abele to work with the SAPI5 version of infovox. So here my Question. For the rockbox talk files I used the script of the rockbox page. Here I can select the TTS voice in the control panel and it works fine. In the TTS control panel I can only select the microsoft and L&H SAPI voices. The acapella infovox does not appear in this control panel. Is there a way to use my Gerhard infovox for my talk clips? - Make someting that this voice appears in the TTS control panel? - Modify the voice script file to access to the infovox voice stream? - other ideas? Any hint is welcome Regards- Ivo Received on 2006-11-07 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
