Just as an alternate method, I go into the Menu and select "Playlist
Options... Create Playlist" while I'm in the root directory. This
creates the file "root.m3u", which when I load it in (assuming that
"shuffle" is on from the QuickMenu) loads my entire iPod's file
contents shuffled together.
