I have it working on one.

DO NOT get an 80GB video!!! It doesn't work with rockbox at all and nobody
knows why. I have a 30GB that works fine (you need to either install a build
from http://www.sefia.ca/rockbox/index.php or compile it). The only thing
AFAIK that doesn't work is playlists/using tag cache mode. I don't know how
color/photo ipods work, though.
