Hi,

The USB does charge when connected to the SubPack with Rockbox. You have
to turn the player off by holding power for a while till the device
disconnected sound appears in XP, or whatever signal you get in your OS
that the device has disconnected. If the USB is left on in this state,
you can charge the X5. I really wish this would be possible through the
OTG chip, but I don't think it is. I can't test that with the Cowon
firmware, because I'm Visually Impaired and can't see the lights and
other symbols of charging.
