Rockboxers,

Sorry if it's an FAQ but it only seems to have a topic for discussion a year
ago.

Is there any way to increase playback speed (without changing pitch) by more
than 2%? If not, is it a hardware limitation?
Of course, we can increase playback speed to 200% (changing pitch by an
octave at the same time) but the chipmunk effect is kind of annoying.
One reason playback speed may be important is that it makes listening to
podcasts and audiobooks a completely different experience. If it weren't for
the 2% limitation, it'd be easy to sell Rockbox devices as the ideal
podcast-listening tool (what with bookmarking, etc.).
In fact, speed listening can have more positive effects than you might
