No, I did not press the rec-button, and both voices were working, after I went to the language menu and changed the language each time I started the player. When I switched on the player, it wouldn't talk and I went to the language menu and set it to German, if I had used English in the previous session. Then it would talk, and I could also set it to English again, which I preferred because the voices sound better and are more up to date. If I had used German before shutting down the player, I would after starting it again, have to go to the language menu to switch to English. However, for some reason I don't understand, it works now, after I set the player to resume on start up the track I played before shutting it down. Wen I stop the track, it now talks imediatly. But as far as I know this setting shouldn't influence the talking, and since I don't know what else might have changed the player's behaviour, I'm not really trusting it to keep talking. Probably I'll just have to hope for the best and write again if it should decide to be mute again. Again, thanks for trying to help Sandra.
