For info, standard, untweaked ipod5g 30gb bought past week "out of the box"
did not cope well in "apple" form (sluggish if not unreachable) but showed up
flawlessly as usb external hdd under both SuSE93 with USB1 (7 years old
Desktop) & UBUNTU 6.06 with usb2 (brand new subnotebook)
Enjoy drag'N'Drop !
[Ipod Photo did work good with both SuSE & UBUNTU though (with gtkpod),
running original soft: don't ask! Switch to RockBox!]
