Okay, I didn't even know about the live bookmark feature. All I
wanted to say is that when you enter the URL you mentioned
earlier (http://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.systems.archos.rockbox.cvs),
Firefox will show it nicely formatted.

I never used RSS so far, so I don't know any standalone reader
