Any help much appreciated. > Hi The very idea - or one of them - is that you can just Drag and Drop files in the rockbox architecture. This is the way we do it at home, we build an empty folder at the root of the ipod with appropriate name, and just copy the music on to it, that easy. Just do not expect iTune to recognise it! If you are buying a lot on iTune, then you'll have to search for the topic "how to have my iPod (original firmware) database recognised under rockbox" - I know it's possible, but I don't use the ipod firmware or iTune at all. Actually, my wife and I never used the ipod soft, it's been rockboxed from start. Linux here... If your music was ripped with a CDDB datadase giving the names/titles, you will have them as well in your ipod, correct titles and all that. Searching in the mailing list, you'll find a lot on the topic of "voiced" folders for blind users. Enjoy your music the open-source way.
