RE: Iriver H340 won't tolk twice

The reset sequence you describe works as far as getting speech to work.
However, the next time the player starts, it is not talking.

This suggests that we need to reset the player every time it starts--a
bad bug! I also notice that when the player in in the situation where
it isn't talking, some settings (like volume) cannot be changed. If the
idle-power timer turns the system off, we need to rest the system on
startup. I'm going to edit rockbox.cfg to see if I can get the settings I
want without having to go through the menus.

-Hello list,
-
-I got my Iriver H340 to talk when I first turned it on after installing
-the build. I went through the menus and changed voice settings so
-directories and filenames were spelled. I then turned the player off.
-
-When I turned it on again, it wouldn't talk. My wife tells me that the
-voice menus are on and that directory and filename are set to spell.
-But it won't talk! The only way I can make it talk again is to remove
-the build from the drive and reinstall it; and when I turn the player
-off after setting menu options, the player is silent the next time I
-turn it on.
-
-I also notice that if the player is off and plugged into the power
-adaptor, it is impossible to turn it on. Something does happen but the
-drive does not spin up.
