Basically if you could just try playing music which you will obviously do,
if it has a record function, make a small test recording with your favourite
voice out of the bundle available, does it crash on exit like some voices
do? Did it work fine? Does your file play back the contents of the speak
buffer as I have heard about on one unit? Very odd behaviour, that.
Anything else you can think of really.
While the voice is speaking when you press play, did it crash, or did the
voice stop as it was supposed too, and the music play? That kind of thing.
Different voices I have found, work in different ways.
For example with the Patchset.bz2 midi patches for Iriver, if using some
voices, the voice after playing a midi file gets pitched down an entire
octave and you have to restart the unit. Random little things like that.
Thanks.
