yes i actually did this for a friend this weekend, and found the new boot loader to be very very intuitive, and much easier then the last time i atempted to install rb on to an ipod. Suffice to say 2 more have been added to the rockbox legion this weekend.

  Yes. If you follow the link Michael sent, you'll go to a page where you can download a new iPodpatcher that automatically detects the type of iPod you are using and installs the bootloader. It's neat.
