Hi,

The rebuild tool only works with MP3 files, not protected ones such
as Audible books. You have to use either iTunes or Anapod Explorer
(from www.redchairsoftware.com) to transfer Audible files to an iPod
Shuffle. While Anapod Explorer is easier to use, it only supports
Format 4 on the Shuffle; if you want to use a different format, you
have to use iTunes.
