First:
I think you are referring to the iriver H10 20GB and not 2gb?


If you are using the original firmware:
ALL music files (including the Music-Folder) have to be hidden.
The database creation tool of the original firmware won't add a file to
the database if it is not hidden.


If you are using rockbox:
Which build are you using? I have a H10 20gb too and I do not have any
problems.
Maybe you can initialize it again and then do an update. In earlier
builds I noticed that you had to a restart before the database was
"readable".
