RE: Need help with IAudio X5 and rockbox installation

I'm not sure I get the point? What would deleting that file accomplish? I'm
assuming that if rockbox is actually loaded correctly, that the file will
reappear, but not if it's not loaded right?

Here's another interesting note.. I can't get the unit to come on with just
a brief press of the power switch. I have to hold it for a second or so
before the drive boots. Could this be an indication that rockbox isn't
loaded right? And if so, what to do to get it working?

Yes, the Cowon bootloader does this before loading the Rockbox
bootloader. Quite annoying.

You need to verify that Rockbox really is installed correctly, which is
not easy without sighted assistance.

Try this: Insert the USB cable when the device is off. Verify that the
.rockbox directory is in the root and nowhere else. Then delete the file
config.cfg in that directory and unplug the USB cable.
