For me, it's great since the majority of my music is encoded as Vorbis and FLAC (audiophile, I love the two formats). I just recently bought an iriver H320 for my girlfriend from eBay (20GB drive) and installed Rockbox on it for her. She loves it since she can listen to FM radio, record notes for her classes, and play Doom in her spare time; plus, most of her music is in FLAC format as well. But the good part about the iriver is that you can swipe the drive in it for a larger capacity one, provided that you buy either a single platter (H120/H320) or double platter (H140/H340) drive. The controls on the iriver are simple to work with; they're entirely button based. Lastly, the iriver looks to be the next officially supported port in the Rockbox lineup, so you can't go wrong there.
