I recently purchased a 30GB 5.5G, and was dismayed when I sat down to listen to some music. The background hiss level, independent of the volume setting, was so loud that I could only be happy listening to metal and hard rock on it. Acoustic guitar, choral, classical - forget it. The hiss was clearly audible over the quieter passages. A look at the iPod support forums confirms that this is not an isolated issue. My old Mini is much superior in the sound quality department. As much as I *want* to like it, I'm afraid it's going to be going back. =( Received on 2007-05-21 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
