Subject: _Audio Dropout_ on iPod nano

_Audio Dropout_ on iPod nano

Hello,

I sent this earlier last week, but nobody responded. I don't know my way
around the source, or I would fix this myself.

Quoted from my earlier e-mail:

Since build r13396-070515, I have been experiencing an intermittent audio
dropout at the beginning of tracks. All of my audio files are OGG Vorbis,
variable bitrate, average 256kb/s. I start the track, it starts playing
almost instantaneously, and within 5-10 seconds, the player acts as if it
was paused, the disk activity icon appears, and it stays in this state for
about 2-3 seconds, then continues playing as if nothing happened. I had
never seen this happen on earlier builds. It is not an easily reproducible
error. I am wondering if there is a "prebuffer"-type setting I'm missing--it
seems like the player would be in good shape if it buffered a nice amount of
data before starting playback.

(end quote)

The latest build is still dropping out. Does anyone have *any* lead on this
at all? Everything worked great until a recent build. I would roll back, but
I don't know which one to roll back to.

Thanks,
Jacob
