Rockbox mail archiveSubject: New hardware to develop for?New hardware to develop for?
From: Christopher Woods <christof_at_infinitus.co.uk>
Date: Fri, 25 May 2007 21:04:19 +0100 I read today on Engadget that iRiver acquired Siren Audio recently, and just announced it - http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/25/iriver-acquires-ex-rio-startup-siren-audi o/ - as Siren Audio was an ex-Rio startup, what do the developers think are the chances of firmwares compiled to run on Rio players running on Siren hardware without any major modifications? Another model range to keep your eyes out for... Here's what one of their models looks like: http://akihabaranews.com/en/news-13352-DP100%2C+the+new+Siren+DAP.html (appears to be solid state with 2Gb of capacity, OLED and both pocketable size and price tag). Kinda funky. Received on 2007-05-25 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
