Hi Rich,
Maybe you need a more recent build of Rockbox. Go get the latest
current build and the latest voice file from
http://tbrn.net/rockbox/
You'll need 7-Zip to extract a voice file from this archive; you can
get it from
www.7-zip.org
then pick the voice you want and press F5 to copy that voice to the
.rockbox\langs directory on your player.
