Hi Kolby,

Rockbox on the iPod video is very stable on all three models, but yes, the
80GB version still has a few problems with disk access that have to be
ironed out. I would say to get the 30GB iPod for now,
as you won't have any hard drive issues.

You can use the iPod as a removable storage device on any operating system,
but you would
still have to go to a computer with iTunes on it to at least enable disk use
on the iPod. If you have
a friend with iTunes, ask them to help you with that.
