Rockbox mail archiveSubject: Rockbox database won't initialize on h340Rockbox database won't initialize on h340
From: End Corporate Rule! <iggy19_at_riseup.net>
Date: Mon, 02 Jul 2007 22:43:13 -0400 I am running RockBox r13741-070630 on an iRiver H340. For some time now (going back to a previous version of BR) the database function on my box has been failing to initialize. When I go to the "Database" option on the main menu it pulls up the banner that says "Building database... 0 found (STOP to return)" This is all good except that it never finds any tracks or updates the display. I have left it on this screen overnight+ several times and and it neither updates nor crashes -- hitting STOP really does escape from the function. I have tried deleting files, upgrading RB and running scandisk on the drive. I have turned on and off the menu options under settings-->general settings-->database. All to no avail. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in Advance, Iggy PS: I recently flashed to the korean firmware, and am very surprised how much I have enjoyed video. For the previous six months I have never used the factory firmware, and in the last two days have found myself booting into it a couple times a day to watch anime (Boondocks right now). Wooot!!
