The problem is, once they finish installing they don't respond to the
question "How may we improve the instructions" when it is given. That
still doesn't change that you're trying to create alternate instructions
rather than improving the existing set.

I don't know how many times I have to repeat this: Why do you expect
someone to help you create an alternate set of instructions, when you're
unwilling to help improve the official set?
** Paul,
This is not intended to be an alternative to the manual.
It is just that many folks, do better with the technical part of the manual
if it is a bit familiar to them.
I don't think the Rockbox community is interested in having MP3 files of
people installing Rockbox, for Blind users to download from the Rockbox
site.
No amount of words in the manual can do what an MP3 of someone doing the
install does for some folks.
It's like watching someone change the plugs in a car, which will give
someone more confidence to do it following the step by step guide later.
I'm sure that if anyone will give me an MP3 of their procedure, they would
also like it to be used on the Rockbox site.
But I don't think there is a desire for such MP3 files to be placed there
for download. So thanks for contributing to the confusion to the use of
Rockbox, and I must state that the lack of support for my request here has
tainted my view of this list.
I have been a promoter of Rockbox since before its beginning for Blind
users, and that is all I hoped to do here, with the program I promised to
do.
Now I will have to do a program that will not be as useful as I hoped, and
if nobody comes through from this list, I will be greatly disappointed, as I
have helped many people, whom I did not know before, with installing
Rockbox.
So let's stop this discourse, as it has frustrated me, and I am sure the
rest of the list is weary of all this as well.
Glenn
