Rockbox mail archiveSubject: e200tool Failuree200tool Failure
From: Craig Milo Rogers <rogers_at_isi.edu>
Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2007 18:16:23 -0700 I recently purchased a Sansa e280, which may or may not be an e280R. Since it said "Rhapsody" on the back, I assumed it's an e200R and attempted to follow the e200R instructions on the Rockbox twiki at http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200RBootloaderPatching e200tool failed. Here's a copy of the messages: # ./e200tool recover BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom e200tool v0.2.3-alpha (c) by MrH 2006, 2007 Searching for device 0781:0720 ... found! Initializing USB stub (4780 bytes) ... done! Writing 'BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom' to address 0x10600000 Searching for device 6666:e200 ... 9 8 found! Write at 0x106060b7 Control message (-71, Protocol error) Note that several other "Write at" messages appeared on the screen and were overwritten, prior to the failure. Error -71 does not appear on SansaE200RBootloaderPatching page or the troubleshooting page. http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200TroubleShooting I could power cycle the e280 at this point, and it wasn't bricked, but of course it's not running Rockbox yet, either.
