I'm on the verge of suggesting that a friend buy the Sandisk Sansa for use with Rockbox. My knowledge lies entirely in HD based players, I've never used a flash based player with Rockbox before. Is anyone out there having trouble with the Sansa's use? Specifically, are there any issues in playing OGG and MP3 files with Rockbox. She's also going to be using the speech extensively, so any trouble with that on the Sansa would be good to know about. I have looked at the ports page, but all I can see that might be a reason to avoid the player is that the power handling isn't optimal and that voice recording is only available through the microphone. I'd be most grateful to hear what experiences others have had with it. Aman **I have the E280 and while there are some features not yet implemented,I love the little beauty! Voice UI works well. The click wheel is easy to get used to and can really speed up navigation when adjusting settings like the sleep timer etc, etc. You will need to get used to navigation as the player does not default bakc to your startup menu item when you stop playback simular to hard disk players. There are a few more key combos to learn but once you get them memorized You'll be cooking with gas! The unit is small and sturdy and battery life is very good for me so far. Music transfer is a little slow. I don't know if it's an Rb issue or, if we are talking USB 1.1 here. The unit does not come with an AC adapter and charges via USB but you can add an after market AC charger. The supplied head phones suck but, I'm sure you already expect that would be the case.
