I'm running a c200. How do you get it in recovery mode? the docs for this thing suck.

Are you just trying to format your Sansa's disk and start fresh? If so, the best thing to do is connect it in recovery mode mode (while your sansa is off, switch hold on, hold record and plug in the usb cable). You will then see a 16MB disk appearing. Then copy an empty file called ' sansa.fmt' and unmount/eject the disk. This will format your sansa's data partition.

This will of course wipe all your files from the Sansa. Also, make sure not to copy ANY other files over to the 16MB partition.

I'm assuming you're talking about the e200 series Sansa. I'm not sure if this method also works for the c200 series.

What's happening here? I don't suppose rockbox has some sort of formatter for it's supported players? Directories can no longer be removed, I get a message similar to this.

    ---------------------------
    Error Deleting File or Folder
    ---------------------------
Cannot remove folder 01: The directory is not empty.

    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------
I can go into the affected folder(s) and remove the files manually, but the list gets re populated as soon as I leave and/or hit the refresh key, which latter action I took upon a hunch. In other words, the files undelete themselves. They're 0 bytes in size and can't be removed. I suspect that recent errors in my computer's file system are contributing to this, but knowing the cause is not helping to necessarily find the solution. Any ideas?
