Hi Maurice,

In the Voice menu, there are two options affecting how things are
spoken. There's the one you mentioned, where you choose between
spelling, numbers, or off, but there's a second one asking whether
you want to use .talk clips. Be sure that option is set to yes for
both folders and files.
