I had a 4 gb Nano and July and August I was quite happily making my own voice files using cygwin with no problems. Then the noted problems with that model and the new versions of rockbox started happening to me in terms of crashing so I just used an old stable version. Recently I bought an E280 and have it all up and running with one of Andre's voice files from Nov 24.

So I am wondering what I need to do to my cygwin installation to get things going again. I remember from when I installed it that there were two initial sections one where I had to select lots of different Cygwin options and then a second stage where I selected all the rockbox ones. I take it I need to update one or both of these sections and I would appreciate it if someone could give me some assistance as to what I need to do. I want to create voices using my Australian english real speak voices again at a fast speed.

Well all that is different is the target you build for. Select e200 when
you run configure and it asks you for the target to build for.

Also to make the voice file the same as the clips just pass the same
arguments to rbspeex and your synth.
For example on my debian machine I pass
-s 240 to espeak which sets it at 240 words a minute.
I found out what the argument was by reading the man page...
Since I don't use cygwin I am not sure how you can find what number is
for the e200 with voice.
