My hope is, however, that a programmer will inform us on the list whenever the full USB support has been added to Rockbox--something that is a work in progress and the reason for those annoying Windows installation messages. As for myself, I was able to find a check box that prevents the "Rockbox Media Player" pop-up installation message. But I have to reburn my system tomorrow and will be reinstalling all from scratch at that time.
