I am using a Sennheiser PX100. But there is also no noise when using the earplugs
that came with the E280 (which are quite good for their size and much better
than those that are delivered with other players).

I don't hear any noise even in a quiet room.

Maybe this is the cause of the noise: The radio? Mine doesn't have a radio.
