Re: iPod Video 30GB Battery Life

Hello to Hussein and all other contributors.

I personally get slightly more than eight hours of battery life out of
my own 30 GB fifth generation iPod. This is adequate from my
perspective, but I do find it strange that in the beginning I was
always maxing out at 96% to 98% of available battery life (11 to 12
hours) immediately following a charge, whereas now I'm maxing out at
86% to 88%, or 8 to 9 hours of stated life even after a charge of
several hours. I don't know if this means a slowly dying battery or
not, but it does leave me with some concern.

Rob, what exactly do you mean by making sure unused hardware is
asleep? What values do you specify in your settings to make this
happen?

Regards,

-Kane
