Date: Wed, 13 Feb 2008 16:48:25 -0500 Hello to Hussein and all other contributors. I personally get slightly more than eight hours of battery life out of my own 30 GB fifth generation iPod. This is adequate from my perspective, but I do find it strange that in the beginning I was always maxing out at 96% to 98% of available battery life (11 to 12 hours) immediately following a charge, whereas now I'm maxing out at 86% to 88%, or 8 to 9 hours of stated life even after a charge of several hours. I don't know if this means a slowly dying battery or not, but it does leave me with some concern. Rob, what exactly do you mean by making sure unused hardware is asleep?
