Subject: FW version building from source

FW version building from source

Hi all.

Since the last few days, I build the daily release from sources, so I can
apply some patches.

But both applying patches or not, the FW version is reported as
"yyyymmdd-yymmdd".

First question: how is it possible to show the build number, showed as rnnnnn?

Second question: is it feasible to think about a system to mark which
patches was applied in the build? Something quite simple like: if the patch
file upgrades also a file, i.e. in the source root dir, with its FS#, the
content of this patch list file will be showed somewhere in the function
"System, Rockbox Info"?
I did not think to insert this as a feature request, at least not before
talking here.

My best compliments for the great job!
