Is battery life affected significantly by having rockbox on the ipod?

If you are blind and don't need the screen you can turn down all of the
display settings. I am running the latest rockbox as of today and getting 17
hours or there abouts.

If I go and purchase an iPod video 5.5 G tomorrow, I can have rockbox up and
running as well? Yeah just ask on the list or go to the rockbox page and
read the users guide.

How do you work iTunes? Do you have the accessible iTunes interface for
this? You can't use I tunes with rockbox. I have a lot of music on my hard
drive as well as graphic audio books and with rockbox I just copy and past
the songs/books/whatever... on to the Ipod and away I go...
