Unfortunately the generic Rockbox settings are not that perfect for Openstreetmap (http://www.openstreetmap.org/) use. Is there any chance to somehow "remap" the Sansa Keys? Here is what I would need to make Rockbox the perfect Player Software for OSM mappers. A Mapper is usually cruising around by bike while mapping streets. Metadata (Street-Names etc.) has to be acquired using something else than a GPS device. Notepad and pencil or dictating machines are used for this purpose (e.g. GPS-Point Number 042 = Foobar-Street). This is where Rockbox comes to mind. I usually listen to music while mapping Streets and now it would be perfect when I could simply press the record button, recording speech as long as holding down the button. However, when the record button is released the player should continue playing music. I wish to do this exactly that way, because it is very unconvenient to dismount any time recording something, so this should be a no-brainer. Would this be possible using Rockbox and if so, where would I need to hack the defaults? Unfortunately the manual does not mention a key remapping feature. Regards Sven -- If we want hardware to work to its full potential, we need to claim to be a recent version of Windows.
