If you happen to be using Win98 or Win98 second edition (not Me, 2K, XP, or Vista) try one of these as a universal USB storage device driver (there's two different ones, one is for 98 and the other for 98se): http://www.technical-assistance.co.uk/kb/usbmsd98.php If you're using 98lite (http://www.litepc.com/98lite.html) on your machine, first boot in DOS mode and make a copy of explorer.exe (c:\windows\explorer.exe). I tried that universal driver and it messed up explorer.exe when 98lite is installed. I fixed it by installing the universal USB driver, rebooting when it asked for it, stopping the boot process when it rebooted by using the <F8> key, selected DOS mode, and re-copied my backup explorer.exe over the explorer.exe that was there after reboot. If you don't do this explorer crashes when Windows loads. This backup/copy only works if you've installed 98lite. If you haven't installed 98lite you should have no problems. Also, if there are firmware problems, these guys may help: www.s1mp3.org _________________________________________________________________ News, entertainment and everything you care about at Live.com.
