Rockbox mail archiveSubject: Sansa: thoughts on keybindingsSansa: thoughts on keybindings

I knew that there were changes in the keybindings and wanted to try them, if they are better than the one before (that still is used in the cpchan distribution). My experience on the new bindings: On the first touch the Sansa became unusable for me: In the file browser when having selected a folder, I have tried all keys on the sansa, even the rec key to insert the folder into the playlist. Well, I did not find how to get to the context menu and had to read the manual. This is a minus. The usage should be self explanary IMHO, or at least you should be able to easily find out by trying around. Ok, now I know that I have to do a _long_ press on select to make the context menu show up. First I thought it to be stupid. But now, after playing around with it, it does not feel bad. Navigating through the folders and invoking the context menu is simple and fast. I do not know which key bindings are better though. I think it does not really matter. But I do have a problem with the power key that behaves different than described in the manual: It should stop the music. (Is there a difference between stop and pause? It does not seem so.) Ok, this works, but also it jumps into the parent directory. The latter is really bad. First I even thought that the stop function on the power key is silly because I have a play/pause key for this. But while being in the file browser, play/pause would only bring you to the WPS, where I need a second press to pause playback. So power=stop is ok, but only without the go-to-parent-folder function. Is this a bug?
