No. The F-series also has a ZIF connector inside and an adapter for
the 50 pin connector of the old drives. See:

It seems to have the same dimensions as the ZIF connector of a normal
new PATA drive. But does it also have the same layout/wiring? In that
case you could just remove it and replace it by an ordinary FFC. I
wonder that no one did test that before...
