Subject: Question about fonts and encodings

Question about fonts and encodings

From: Keren <kshimshi_at_yahoo.com>

I have a problem showing non-English characters (like Hebrew and Japanese ) on
my iRiver H340.

I use unifont and I tried changing the default codepage but if I choose Hebrew I
still can't see the Japanese characters.
if I choose Japanese I still can't see the Hebrew characters.
if I choose unicode all characters turn to question marks.

What I don't understand is how come it only happens in the wps, when I browse
through the files all characters look the way they should regardless to the
default codepage.

In both cases I use unifont. Is there a difference? Is it a general thing or
does it just happen to me?

Can it be fixed? I mean if it works in the file browsing it shouldn't be to hard
to make it work in the wps, right?

If an answer to this was already written somewhere in the site then I'm sorry, I
looked but I couldn't find anything helpful.

Thanks,
Keren
