It qualifies as describing how to verify that Rockbox isn't modifying
the sound so that he can be sure Rockbox isn't in some way altering his
output since he seems to think Rockbox sounds better than the OF and

Maybe because anyone is free to create lists on other topics whose
archives won't be stored in the sameplace, and whose keywords won't make
searching return more false positives, and whose messages won't show up
in the inboxes of hundreds of people who subscribed actually believing
the list is really supposed to just be about the Rockbox project.

I've never quite understood why some of this list seems to be so
aggressively in the defense of anyone and everyone who ever has it
pointed out to them that there are expected guidelines on the list.
What, exactly, is so difficult about saying "Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't
aware that this was off topic." After which everyone can go about their
business with less quibbling.
