   but as I said in a previous post, I am looking for a new MP3 player (having a heck of a time finding those compatible with Rockbox).

  Yeah, those things are hard to find. Tiger direct has a few sandisc sansa's though.
  I am assuming that the IPod classic doesn't work with RockBox yet?
  It doesn't and never will. Its got different components, I don't exactly understand that yet myself.

  Needing help in getting new player!
