If there is a menu entry then you *know* that you have highlighted the
"shutdown" option and pressed Select.

The issue is that on the targets without dedicated Power buttons,
holding one button down (e.g. Play on the iPods) could stop the music
without shutting down the player.
Feel free to correct me if I've misunderstood anything.
