Date: Wed, 7 Jan 2009 17:27:12 -0000 Hi list. I don't normally record with my h140, however The device I usually use to do my recording has recently failed, and as a result I am going to have to use my 140 to record a TV program tonight. I have never done recording before with the 140, so please excuse all the questions. I have just been looking at the rb manual, and as far as I can tell, there is no section about the actual process of recording. There is a section on recording settings, but as far as I can tell, there is no section detailing how to stop and start recording. Do I literally just hit record, and then when the program has finished hit stop? Also, could someone please advise me of which socket is the line in one? as I am blind and not entirely sure which socket I need to hook my cable up to. I need to hook my 140 up to my set top box. Also, once I have hooked it up is it a simple case of just selecting what format I want to record in, the various quality settings, then line in as the source and that's it? Lastly, with the format setting is mpeg layer 3 just a long way of saying mp3 format? just out of curiosity, why is it not possible to record to ogg vorbis format? Thanks very much for any help.
