As expected? In your original email you said you believed vorbis and
flac were problematic as well. This is why it's helpful to get exact
conditions, rather than "Well, I think..." responses.

You should probably at this point file a proper bug report, and attach a
recording of this problem so that anyone investigating further can look
at it for a further clue as to what kind of problem it is. Again,
"hiccough" is a case of words meaning something to you they may not mean
to someone else. For example, to me it creates an image of an up and
down movement and a sound, but I think you said there's no actual sound
associated with it just a discontinuity, but as that was earlier when it
was still thought to be several formats, I'm not sure if you mean
something new now, or you just chose that word instead of discontinuity
this time.
