a few weeks ago there was a blow-up on the list about people and their
attitudes.. it's replies like this that certainly give this list its
bad reputation.

i for one didn't know about the X5L players and after the large
discussion on new-egg's deal yesterday i don't mind hearing about
alternatives. if the OP had sent out the message 10 times, that might
be considered excessive and spam, and you'd be in your right to chide
him privately, or boot him from the list. but you admit yourself he
posted it once before, that's no reason to ridicule him publicly
through the list.
