This suggests that you've updated Rockbox and not updated the corresponding
language file for the speech system.

It's unfortunate that this is neither updated automatically for you, nor
pointed out if you happen to forget to do it and use a newer version of
Rockbox with an old speech file, but that's the way it is...

Just download the language file for the version of Rockbox you're currently
using, overwrite the existing speech directory, and things should match up

[ Suggestion to any developers who may see this - please could the speech file
have a version number which gets displayed alongside the application version
number, so that it's easy to see when they get out of sync? Even better
would be an internal version number which the application checks and
specifically tells you if it will not work properly, so you can update it. ]
