If you're using an outdated version of Rockbox, and you haven't changed
anything, it's almost certainly hardware failure.

Your best bet would be to find sighted help. It's really nearly
impossible to diagnose the situation without being able to at least know
what it's doing. Right now it could be booting but not speaking any
more, freezing during the boot, or any of a number of other things. As
well, where it freezes and what it displays when it freezes could reveal
quite a lot.
