Sean:
Is there TTS in open source or in the public domain that could be
incorporated int some of the more powerful Rockbox devices. Of
course we would have to have a graceful degradation path so that the
older players could still use the existing method.

Similarly there might be open source or public domain Daisy
software. Do you know what Rockbox community thinks of incorporate
other open source into rockbox. I relize there are concerns about
obaying the open source licences.

FYI,I am a ex-systems engineer. I only dabbled in programming
(C,C++,JAVA, Pascal) throught my career. So I could help with
working on this but I don't think I am up for actual programming
efforts. I am legally blind and have be out of work for about6
years after having worked for 20.

This would be an incremental step in getting Daisy on Rockbox.

Oh and no I did not think you ment anything by your comment. I
ment to make it clear I was talking about putting Rockbox
oncommercial purchased players.
