Subject: Can't get trigger to start recording

Can't get trigger to start recording

From: Mike Keithley <mkeithley_at_pobox.com>

Hello list,

I am using Rockbox 3.6 on an Iriver H320.

I am trying to get the recording trigger facility to work. Here are my settings:

Trigger: once

TriggerType: stop

start above: -89 DB. The manual mentions an inf value, but it isn't there.

Start duration: 0 seconds.

Stop below: -40 DB

Stop duration: 10 seconds.

Source: internal mic.

My reading of the manual suggests that the recording should start almost immediately, and stop when the input has been below -40 DB for 10 seconds. But the recording never starts, even when I talk directly into the mic. If I start it manually, it runs for about ten seconds (the stop duration) and stops. It's as if the input to the trigger sees no signal at all.

Can someone tell me what's wrong? Unfortunately I can't see the screen so cannot check the display.

Thank you.
